Johnny Cool Swing Band - 9 to 14 piees

Johnny Cool is a retro swing dance band in Florida.

Johnny Cool Swing Band was formed during the retro-swing days. Playing music from modern bands like Brian Setzer, Big Bad Voodoo Daddy and Cherry Poppin Daddies, they mixed in fun songs from older groups like Louie Prima, Louis Jordan and Cab Calloway. Then they added a little Rat Pack and, today, a good measure of some Michael Buble, giving the band a well-rounded repetoire of fun, swinging songs for all kinds of events, parties, shows and concerts.

Playing to your audience or your theme, this band can play music from the 1920s to the hits of today. Louie Jordan, Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra and Bobby Darin all the way to Bruno Mars, Beyonce, Earth Wind and Fire, DNCE, and Gwen Stefani.

Jeremy James and Sammy Pawlak are the lead vocalists in the Johnny Cool Swing Band

Johnny Cool Swing Band can be configured in many different sizes. From 9 to 14+ pieces, here are a few of the standard configurations.

Our flapper girls are all dynamic lead vocalists and are featured throughout the show in every genre of music we play. Shannon, France, Shalisa and Nina will entertain as they amaze the audience with their world-class vocals.
Part of the magic of the retro swing music is the horn section. We can include some brass in as small as a 10-piece group, but for the full horn section, we recommend the 12-14 piece band.

While the older swing styles were all about the horn bands, horns will also add to the contemporary music. Bruno Mars, Earth Wind and Fire, and Prince used horns extensively in their music.

Multiple lead singers create a dynamic show presentation.
If you want to make an impression, use one of our largest groups. Optional additons to the band are more horns, a percussionist and a DJ and you will have a dynamic band on stage for a room-shaking dance party from beginning to end.

Here's a photo of our 12-piece on stage.

ADDITIONAL Johnny Cool INFORMATION

1) On Florida (drive) jobs, you provide a meal for the band. Please, no box lunches. Our band arrives early to make sure we are ready to go long before your event begins and stays until we are packed up, typically making it a 8 to 10 hour day. Doesn't have to be fancy. Here are some examples of a great simple meal for the band: a hot buffett, vouchers for a coffee shop, vouchers for a room service menu, or you can do a buyout at $25/person and we will buy our own food. When ordering the food or calculating the buyout option, it will be the number of performers PLUS up to two technicians (check with Paul for exact number at contract signing). Out of state (and fly) dates, will be a higher cost per person for food.

2) You pay for any parking fees at the venue for band vehicles, including a van with 14' trailer. This is not common, but it does occasionally come up.
